  • Shalondra

    Shalondra Grandberry Pickford provides zealous and compassionate legal counsel to those in need of an advocate.

    Attorney Pickford started her law career as an associate for a Social Security Disability (SSDI) law firm in Memphis, Tennessee. She then moved to a personal injury law firm, managed its SSDI practice, and expanded to personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. Attorney Pickford has represented hundreds of claimants at their disability hearings, as well as, negotiated countless case settlements with insurance companies.

    Looking back, it was Attorney Pickford’s experience with the Social Security Administration (SSA) that inspired her to pursue law. She witnessed the difficulties and frustration faced by her clients, and knew she had found her market niche.

    Attorney Pickford started as a claims representative for both SSDI and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) in Forrest City and West Memphis, Arkansas respectively. She helped to resolve claims regarding retirement, survivors’ benefits, disability benefits, and Medicare eligibility. She also served as the liaison for SSA and the attorneys while working at the West Memphis, Arkansas field office.

    Attorney Pickford has conscientiously applied her baccalaureate degree from Tennessee State University and MBA from the University of Memphis. While earning her JD at The University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, she worked as a clerk at a prominent local law firm and municipal utility company, and served as the Executive Editor of the Mental Health Law & Policy Journal, Volume 2 for the 2012-2013 school year.

  • Tameko M. Purnell

    Tameko M. Purnell is an Associate at Pickford Law Firm. Her practice focuses on personal injuries as a result of car accidents, slip and falls and on the job injuries. She handles matters in Estate Planning, Social Security Disability and Veterans Claims.

    An honor student and Dean Ambassador at The Mississippi College School of Law, Tameko has clerked for The Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, The Mississippi American Civil Liberties Union, and the City of Memphis where she was instrumental in challenging the confederate soldier statues within public parks in Memphis, Tennessee. Tameko has also studied international business and contract law in China, South Korea, and Lille, France.

    Prior to joining the firm, Tameko acted as Associate Attorney at a prominent law firm here in Memphis, Tennessee, where she played a pertinent part in obtaining millions of dollars for injured clients.

    Prior to becoming an attorney, Attorney Purnell has worked as a litigation paralegal for several prominent firms in Memphis, drafting complex litigation motions and preparing for commercial trials.

    Tameko is licensed to practice in the State of Mississippi and is a member of the Mississippi Association for Justice (where she currently serves as Chair-Elect), The Mississippi Bar, and The National Bar.

    In her down time, Tameko likes rooting for her nephew, Brandon Smith as a wide receiver for the Iowa Hawkeyes, gardening and sitting near the ocean. A former basketball star, track runner, high jumper and cheerleader; Tameko is a lover of sports. Tameko is a wife and mother of two beautiful daughters. Her favorite quote:

  • Adama

    Adama brings a wealth of experience in customer service and human resources to Pickford Law.

    She joined the firm in January 2018 as a receptionist. She soon saw she could be a bigger asset and set her mind on becoming a paralegal. While working full time at the firm, Adama completed the paralegal program at Ashworth College in August 2019. Adama is a self-motivated worker and a great asset to any environment.

  • Tabitha

    Tabitha joined Pickford Law in August 2020.  She serves as our receptionist, however, her past legal experience has equipped her to be of great assistance to our paralegal.

    She is always eager to help and goes over and beyond when it comes to assisting our clients and potential new clients.
